lyrics
Suck the light from my eyes
Buried patience beneath the glass
Laughing to the bank
Tunnels are zeros taking figure
Erasers are worn down
The only colors I see now
Let the grayscale flood the spectrum
The world looks just fine to me
Black, gray, blue day
How long can I just watch time in a stand still
How long can nothing just be
I’m waiting in line again but the waiting room is still empty
We’ve been knockin on heaven’s door
Seems Peter’s lost the key
Let the grayscale flood the spectrum
The world looks just fine to me
I don’t want to watch this anymore
Carve out my iris so I can’t see what I abhor
Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
